Carol Stewart is an Executive, Career and Business Coach, Speaker and Writer. She is the founder of Abounding Solutions and helps high achieving women (with an emphasis on introverted women) transform their professional lives. She coaches them to be authentic, bold, confident leaders who excel in their careers and businesses.
Carol also helps organisations to develop the talent pipeline of women. Her article How Diverse is Your Pipeline: Developing the Talent for Women and Black and Ethnic Minority Employees was published in the Industrial and Commercial Training Journal in 2016.
Prior to starting her business, Carol worked for the Ministry of Justice. Starting in one of the most junior roles, she progressed to a senior manager, with responsibility for a group of magistrates’ courts in the North East London area.
She holds an MSc in Coaching Psychology, a PG Diploma in Management Studies, is a Fellow of the Institute of Leadership and Management and member of the Association for Coaching. In January 2015 (less than 3 years since starting her business), Carol was named as one of Britain’s top 50 Business Advisers by Enterprise Nation.
Carol has delivered several sessions to the Royal Bank of Scotland Focused Women’s Network (and other parts of the organisation), including the Maximising Your Future Potential webinar series to over 600 members of the Focused Women’s Network. In 2016 she was informed that she was one of the favourite speakers of the Focused Women’s Network. She has delivered coaching, workshops and talks on topics including leadership development, self confidence, career development and starting a business to Barclays Bank business customers, Royal Borough of Greenwich, London Borough of Lambeth, London Borough of Waltham Forest, the National Black Women’s Network, London Borough of Croydon, Work and Family Show, Department of Health, National Women’s Engineering Day Conference, Women in Gaming, Westminster City Council, Greenwich School of Management and Family Mosaic amongst others. She is listed as a coach on the Institute for Chartered Accountants England and Wales (ICAEW) Women in Leadership programme.
On the release of the report, Race in the Workplace: The McGregor-Smith Review, Carol was invited to appear on BBC Radio 5 Live breakfast show, where she shared her views on the lack of progression for BMEs in the workplace.
She is a committee member for a voluntary organisation that supports women in the community and is also a mentor for the Cherie Blair Foundation, mentoring women in developing countries, and for the University of East London where she mentors graduates with their career development and business start-up.
